ADMINISTRATIVE PROFESSIONALS WEEK
Today, Administrative Professionals or Secretary's Day is one of the largest workplace observances outside of employee birthdays and major holidays.
Since 1952, the International Association of Administrative Professionals has honored office workers by a week long event. The event is always the last full week in April. In 2010, Administrative Professionals Week is April 18-24 with Administrative Professionals Day on Wednesday, April 21.
Many employers and supervisors arrange events to show their appreciation of the work carried out by administrative professionals, to highlight their importance to the organization and to enhance their work-related skills. It is common to give a gift to show your appreciation. Whether a lunch celebration, a gift basket or token gift, be sure to show your appreciation and gratitude for a job well done.
